Swope Park is one of the largest city parks in the country, and the neighborhoods around it, from Waldo to Brookside, are some of the most walkable family areas on the Missouri side. Johnson County: The Family Belt

Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead in Overland Park sits on 12 acres with close to 250 animals, and admission is free most of the year. It is a favorite for toddlers and early grade-schoolers.
Wonderscope Children's Museum in Shawnee is built so young kids can touch everything, which is the whole point at that age.
Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm in Olathe is a living history site from the 1860s, with staff in period dress and a real stagecoach ride.
