Kansas City Events This Weekend: September 26–27, 2026
Looking for things to do in Kansas City this weekend? You have plenty of choices, from art and live music to fall festivals and family outings. Here are seven events happening across the metro on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27.

Plaza Art Fair
The Plaza Art Fair fills the Country Club Plaza with art, food and live music. It’s a good choice if you want to spend a few hours walking the Plaza and make dinner part of the outing.
The fair runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Check the Plaza Art Fair website for event details before you go. plazaartfair.com
Liberty Fall Fest
Head to Historic Liberty Square for Liberty Fall Fest. Saturday brings vendor booths, food, entertainment and carnival rides. The parade begins at 11 a.m.
The festival is open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sunday, the carnival and select surrounding booths are open from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free, though rides and purchases cost extra. 18th & Vine Arts Festival
The 18th & Vine Arts Festival brings art, music, fashion and food to Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine District. Saturday features the Live on the Vine competition, while Sunday includes Soulful Sunday programming and live art.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. A day pass is $10, and children 13 and under are admitted free. Find the schedule and passes on the festival website. www.18thandvineartsfestival.com
Overland Park Fall Festival
The Overland Park Fall Festival is a Saturday option for families who want to browse makers’ booths, hear live music and enjoy downtown OP. The Overland Park Farmers Market is also taking place nearby that morning.
The free festival runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday along Santa Fe Drive and around Thompson Park. It does not continue on Sunday. Get details from Visit Overland Park. Visit Overland Park
Louisburg Ciderfest
If apple cider and cider donuts sound like your kind of fall outing, consider Ciderfest at Louisburg Cider Mill. The festival includes crafts, food, bluegrass music and activities for kids.
It runs 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission and parking are free. The mill is hosting Ciderfest again the following weekend if this one fills up. See the Louisburg Cider Mill event page. louisburgcidermill.com
Kansas City Renaissance Festival
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival is open both days in Bonner Springs. It’s a full-day option if your group wants performances, shops and plenty to explore.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Check the Renaissance Festival website for tickets and this weekend’s programming. www.visitkc.com
GloWild at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium
For an evening outing, GloWild: Hidden Treasure takes visitors through illuminated scenes inspired by shipwrecks, expedition camps and jungle landscapes. The lantern route is about a mile long.
GloWild is listed for Saturday and Sunday evenings at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium. Check the zoo’s GloWild calendar for admission times and tickets before heading over. www.visitkc.com
